The MMIR Freshwater Pearl Stud Earrings feature 4 metallic points to represent the 4 in 5 American Indian and Alaska Native women and men that have experienced violence in their lifetime (Source: the National Institute of Justice).

STORY:

"❤️ In 2012 my dear friend, neighbor and tribal relative Faith Hedgepeth was brutally murdered in her off campus apartment while studying at the UNC Chapel Hill. Cops made an arrest a few years ago, however still her case is still open. This shocked our community and it shocked me in a way I never imagined. 🌎 I am sharing this story with you because too many of our indigenous women and girls are missing and murdered. Their cases are unsolved.

10% of each sale of these earrings will go towards the Faith's Smile Scholarship. A scholarship established by Faith's family that awards High School Seniors with college scholarships."

Love love them! Paired them with my “long live our stolen relatives “ tee by the medicine kid today and I’m feeling quite empowered. Light weight beautifully made. Can dress them up or down Most of all I love what they represent. Let us never forget our stolen relatives!!!
